Way, Allen Morton – June 16, 1942 to October 10, 2022
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day, and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearance.” (2 Timothy 4:7-8)
Beloved husband of Joanne (nee Kombol); wonderful father of Ethan and Jeremy (Erica); devoted Papa of Chloe, Major, Meredith, Emmy, and Lindsay; dear brother-in-law of Kathleen (the late Ivan) Coric; uncle, great-uncle, and friend.
Dear son of the late Venetta Way, little brother of the late Thelma and Harvey Way, Jr., and special son-in-law of the late John and Stella Kombol.
Allen was a graduate of Windsor High School, Windsor, New York; Parks College of Aeronautical Technology of St. Louis University; member of Alpha Sigma Chi fraternity and the American Meteorological Society. He served in the U. S. Army Signal Corps in Kentucky, Arizona, Alaska, and Greenland.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 3130 Parkwood Lane in Maryland Heights, on Saturday, October 29, at 10:00 a.m. Private interment of ashes at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, St. Louis.
