Amiel (Buddy) J. Sansoucie
Amiel (Buddy) J. Sansoucie of St. Charles, Missouri, died peacefully in hospice care after a long illness at Bethesda-Dilworth located in Kirkwood, Missouri on Saturday, February 13, 2021.
Born in the historic city of St. Louis on February 23, 1941, Buddy worked for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Company where he met the love of his life, the former Doris A. Stoker, with whom he was married for 53 years. After a time, he left the aircraft manufacturing field and went on to pursue another of his passions in the cinema industry as a projectionist at multiple locations around the St. Louis metro area. Anyone who knew Buddy could certainly ask any question about movies and television from the 1920s to modern-day for which he’d always have an answer.
Buddy’s greatest gift in life was his bawdy and unfiltered sense of humor which endeared him to all who knew him. No one was spared the slings and arrows of his sarcastic wit – from servers at his favorite breakfast haunt to his closest friends and family. He also had a deep appreciation of history ranging from early American and World War II periods to a multitude of events in various European countries.
He is survived by his wife, Doris A. Sansoucie, of St. Charles, Missouri, his sons Jeffrey C. Sansoucie of Alexandria, Virginia, and Gregory M. Sansoucie of St. Charles, Missouri. The most important element of Buddy’s life was his family whom he loved most deeply – they were indeed the absolute light of his life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Private services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by St. Louis Cremation.

Bawdy and unfiltered describes Buddy’s sense of humor/style perfectly! I loved it! When he got to talking about history or engines or movies, Buddy would make one wonder why he wasn’t in a school somewhere educating people; he was so knowledgeable. I’m glad I had the opportunity to meet and work for Buddy and Doris; to become a staple in their lives for a period of time. Soar High Buddy! Nature’s Own.
