Anna Ledbetter
Anna Catherina Burge Ledbetter was born on the 13th day of September year 1983 to Pastor Roy Ledbetter and Pamela Burge in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. After Anna graduated from Reynolds High School in 2002, she went on to college and graduated with a degree in International Studies major in Spanish at Florida State University.
She kickstarted her career at the FSU Center for Assessment and Testing, Tallahassee, FL. In 2012 Anna went on to teach Chinese college students English subject classes such as Western Civilization, American Culture, Business English, and Business Communication in Huanghe Science and Technology College, Zhengzhou, Henan, China.
In 2014, Anna met Lora Faye Lalogan online and met her in person in Manila, Philippines January 2015. Anna and Lora continued to have a loving and beautiful relationship and decided to get married in December of 2016. They lived in St. Louis, Missouri to be closer to her father Pastor Roy.
Anna was predeceased by her mother Pamela. She is survived by her spouse Lora, brother Christian David, father Pastor Roy and Tom Dewey and a large extended family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Habitat for Humanity, these organizations Anna felt strongly about.

What absolutely precious children. They just grow up too fast. I know you are so proud of all of Anna’s accomplishments in her life and that you loved her to the moon and back. I knew Anna for many years. She was truly one of the sweetest peopl I’ve ever known. I felt very motherly towards her. Despite her age, she seemed very innocent and young for her age. She was a very dear person who will be sorely missed.

Thank you God for giving us Anna – a generously kind, thoughtful and caring cousin who loved deeply and laughed hard – a hardy laugh that brings a smile to my face just reminiscing. I remember singing Moravian camp songs with you and the entire family at Laurel Ridge. One of the camp songs we sang was Feed My Sheep “if you really love Me, feed My sheep (feed My sheep!)” – And that is exactly how you lived, loving the Lord and others expansively. I am so thankful for you and the time we shared together. We will honor your life and legacy by loving God, loving others, and feeding His sheep (with a lot of laughter and humor along the way). In the meantime, give Pawpaw, Pammy, and Trent a hug for us. Love you bunches and can’t wait to be reunited with you again soon.

Anna was such a bright, joyful, and adventurous part of my 20s as I learned how to make friends after college when it was not as easy to make friends and perhaps even harder to learn how to maintain them. I really commend Anna for keeping friendship ties strong when we became long distance friends in our 30s. I will miss her love for life and laughter, her book recommendations and music taste, and her generous spirit. I am so sorry for your family’s loss and am praying for comfort in this place of punctuated pain.
I worked with Anna at Starbucks, and we often opened together. Her kindness and warmth was ever-present, and she gave the absolute best hugs. She will be very missed.
The ones who knew you will always remember you. Such a kind soul, brave, loving and intelligent person. We will always love you. Farewell my friend and see you someday, sometime, somehow.
I livestreamed Anna’s service and was grateful for the hour to sit down and honor Anna’s beautiful spirit. While part of me was in the mourning of the loss of a young daughter and sister, another part of me, in remembering her and what it felt like to be with her, was inspired by Anna’s non-judgmental and positive spirit. Anna will inspire me every time I am in fear of judgment or am making judgment and help my efforts towards an acceptance, openness, and unguarded love comparable to hers. I love you Anna; I imagine you singing with your mama and our friend, Caroline. May peace be gifted to Roy and Chris in every way possible.
