Anna M. Carmi

Anna M. Carmi (nee Brown) of St. Louis, MO passed away on April 2, 2017. Born April 24, 1932 in St. Louis, MO. She is survived by her children, Margie, Paul, Lois and Phyllis and their father Peter Carmi. She was sister to Herb, Betty, and the late Patrick (aka Gene). She was also the dear mother-in-law to Kelly, grandmother to Eric, Jeremy, Greg, Blake and Brett and great grandmother to Alexis, and aunt to Mark, Jeff, Starlene, Herb Jr., and Patrick Jr. and sister-in-law and cousin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Eva Brown.

Anna spent parts of her adult life working for the family business and also selling Avon and Tupperware. She also worked as a licensed real estate agent. Later in life she obtained an Associate’s Degree from St. Louis Community College and then worked for 20+ years as an on-site manager at a several centers for Mid-East Area on Aging.

A big part of her life was raising her family and spending time with her family and friends. She was also a long time member of the Episcopal Church of the Advent in Crestwood, Mo. She also belonged to the Older Women’s League and the Red Hat Ladies.

Camping and boating was always an adventure while the kids were growing up that was shared with extended family and friends.

Anna always tried to bring joy to the people that she was around.

Memorial service: At 2p.m., Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Episcopal Church of the Advent, 9373 Garber Rd., St. Louis, MO 63126.
