Annette was born at Lutheran Hospital in St. Louis on November 8, 1928 to Edwin and Anna Gaebler, who brought her to be baptized into the Body of Christ at Trinity Lutheran Church, Soulard on December 2. Her public confirmation of faith was in 1943 at Hope Lutheran Church, St. Louis City. Annette graduated from Hope Lutheran Grade School, St. Louis City, a 1946 alum of Cleveland High School, St. Louis and alum of Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing in St. Louis. Annette’s favorite Bible verses Romans 5:1 – 5 “Therefore since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.”

Annette was an avid reader, and loved to paint, knit and sew. She loved crafts and creating gifts for family and friends. We cherish all the wonderful notes and cards she sent up to her death celebrating everyone’s birthdays and anniversaries.
