Arthur J. McBride

July 7, 1942 – January 15, 2021

Arthur J. McBride, passed peacefully on January 15, 2021. Beloved husband of 60 years to Katherene (nee Adams); dear father of David (Amy) McBride, Lisa (Gary) Hearst; grandfather of Suzanne Sokolich, Daniel (Jennifer) Sokolich, Joseph Hearst; great-grandfather of Jacquelyn Morrison, Kaylee Sokolich, Vada Sokolich; loving brother of Lakieda (late Harold) Reeder, late Audrey (Bill) Sorrells, late Jerry (late Freda) McBride, caring brother-in-law of Teresa (Charles) Zorumski, Carmen (Darrell) Wolfe, Richard (Debbie) Adams, Mike (Joyce) Adams, Jerry Adams, late Byron Adams, uncle, great-uncle, cousin, and friend.

Arthur (Joe) McBride in 1960 was part of the Beaumont High School baseball team which made St. Louis history by winning the State championship. After he graduated, he was signed by the Detroit Tigers minor league team. He played for the Tigers for over 2 years, and then started a family.

He was a coach for CYC baseball for 5 years, he was the band booster president for Riverview Gardens for 2 years, and enjoyed playing, baseball, softball, football, basketball, golf, volleyball, and raquetball.

Arthur worked at Dinzler Meats until starting his own company (McBride Meats), which he owned for 40 years, until retirement.
