Audrey M. Painter, age 86, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2025, at Evelyn’s Place in Creve Coeur, Missouri. She lived at Clarendale of St. Peters, the retirement community she called home in her last few years.  Audrey will be reunited with her late husband, Olin, who passed away in 2011.

Audrey was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She lived a life rooted in love, strength, and quiet resilience. Her devotion to her family was unwavering, and she touched many lives with her warmth, wisdom, and steady presence.

She is survived by her 3 children:  Dawn Sams, Robin (Chris) Chadwick, and Robert (Dawn) Painter; her 9 grandchildren; Blaize Sams, Cole (Erika) Sams, Alexandra (Philip) Capellupo, Haley (Nathan) Lauber, Conrad (Shawna) Chadwick, Kelsey Chadwick, Lauren Painter, Chase Painter, and Samantha Painter. She was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Tatum Chadwick and Donny Dupree, who brought her immense joy. She is also survived by her dear siblings: Marion Matzen, Dorothy Hanson, John (Jane) Roland, Gene Roland, and Jerry Roland.

Audrey’s legacy lives on in the generations she nurtured and inspired. Her family will forever remember her gentle smile, kind heart, and the many cherished memories made together.

The family will hold a private service to honor her life.  Following the service, an open house will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 48 Williamsburg Road, St. Louis, MO, from 12 pm to 4 pm.
