Barbara Ann Helms

In loving memory of Barbara Ann Helms (Krejci), who lived October 1, 1949 through January 18, 2024. She is survived by her husband Lawrence Helms, daughter Colleen Helms, son James Helms, and 5 grandchildren Sam, Ben, Lexi, Olivia, and Ethan. In heaven, Barbarann is reunited with her mother Barbara Ann Krejci (Mueller), father William Krejci, brother Christopher Krejci, and daughter Shellie Holaway (Helms).

Throughout her life, Barbarann touched so many other lives. She grew up attending school and services at St. John the Baptist Church in St. Louis City and remained close with many of her classmates for decades. Throughout her career, she worked at Venture Stores, Maritz Global Events, and Impact Dimensions, focusing not just on the job she was hired to do, but most importantly the people she worked with. Barbarann was a magnet for people. She was charismatic, a friend to everyone, and always looking to have a good time. To her friends, she was known as Babs the fun-loving party planner; and to her family she was G (short for Grams) the glue that held everyone together, the young-at-heart grandmother who was always up for a game of ball in the yard, a trip down the playground slide, a sleepover on the floor, or a trip to a warm sunny beach.

To say that Barbarann will be missed is an understatement. But to the many lives she touched, her zest for life, contagious laugh, and passion for making the most out of every single day will live on in our hearts and memories.

A memorial service will be held in Barbarann’s honor at 11:00 am on Saturday February 10, 2024 at St. John The Baptist Church at 4200 Delor St, St. Louis, MO 63116.

Babs was the absolute sweetest and kindest person I have ever known! She brought a smile to my face every time she came to the office. She was a beautiful light no matter what she was going through. My sincere condolences to Larry and her family.
