Barbara “Barb” Walters
Barb Walters, age 84, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Barb spent her entire life in the community she loved.
Barb was the devoted wife of Charles Walters for 66 wonderful years. May 21, 2026, the day of her funeral service, would have marked their 66th wedding anniversary — a testament to a lifetime of love, commitment, and family.
She was a loving mother to Debbie Olwig (Joe) and Dan Walters (Alicia), and a proud grandmother to Daniel Walters, Alex Walters, Stephanie Olwig, Joe Olwig (Laura), and Dan Olwig (Gretchen). Barb was also blessed with eight great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and pride.
Barb dedicated many years of her professional life serving as a Business Office Manager at Christian Northwest, Christian Northeast, and DePaul. She was known for her strong work ethic, kindness, and caring nature.
Those who knew Barb will remember her for her strength, loving heart, warm smile, and the genuine kindness she showed to everyone around her. She especially loved cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals and spending time watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren participate in sports and activities. Nothing made her happier than being surrounded by family.
Barb was a faithful member of St. Joseph Cottleville Catholic Church.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 21, 2026, at St. Joseph Cottleville Catholic Church beginning at 10:00 AM, with funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
Barb’s love, strength, and constant smile will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy lives on through the family she cherished so deeply.

A beautiful faith-filled woman. Her loving family is a testament of bya life well lived. May God give Chuck and all the family strength and comfort.
