Barbara Noftsinger

Barbara Noftsinger, age 77, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026, from complications of Multiple Sclerosis. She lived a life filled with intellect, kindness, and devotion to her family.

Barbara graduated from Bishop DuBourg High School in 1966 and went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree with honors in Mathematics from Saint Louis University in 1974. A pioneer in the early days of the technology industry, she enjoyed a successful career as a computer programmer, working for both Missouri Pacific Railroad and Boatmen’s Bank.

Outside of her career, Barb loved to travel, with memorable trips to Hawaii and England among her favorites. She also adored her beloved cat, Fuzzy, whom she spoiled endlessly. In his later years, Barb lived with her father, Harold, keeping him company and providing compassionate care in the comfort of his own home.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Gertrude (nee Toenjes) Noftsinger, and her sisters, Nancy (Michael) Hartman and Janet (Joseph) Belfiore.

She is survived by her sister, Susan Noftsinger; her brothers, Thomas (Terri) Noftsinger and Paul Noftsinger; and her nieces, Laura (Bob) Singleton, Christina (Drew) Hood, Sara Nachbar, and Melissa Noftsinger.
