Barbara Schieler
Barbara Ann (nee Ellison) Schieler, age 87, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. She was the beloved wife of 54 years to the late Albert Jerry Schieler; dearest mother of Albert Keith (Lori) and August Daniel (Kirsten); and loving grandmother of Albert Kyle, Andrea Marie (David Jr.) Macke, August Devan, and Ashton Ryan. She was also the adoring “Gigi” to Victoria Marie Macke and David Christopher Macke III. She was a dear aunt, cousin, and devoted friend to many.
Barbara loved spending time with her family and friends, and she had a passion for traveling. Deeply committed to her community, she was a 25-year member of the Assistance League of St. Louis, volunteering weekly at Fantastic Finds. In addition, she shared her warmth and kindness as a hospice volunteer at Mason Pointe and delivered meals for Meals on Wheels – St. Louis. Barbara was also a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan, an avid card and Mahjong player, and thoroughly enjoyed stitching and reading.
Our family extends our heartfelt thanks to the staff of EverTrue Hospice and Private Duty Nursing for their compassionate care of Barbara over the past several months.
A private Celebration of Life will be held.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Jerry Schieler; her siblings Dorothy Greathouse (nee Ellison), Marvin Ellison, and Ervin Ellison. She is survived by her sons, Albert Keith Schieler and August Daniel Schieler.

Barbara was well loved and respected at her final home, Evertrue Mason Pointe. We will miss her presence here but glad she is enjoying her heavenly home with the Lord. Yadi will survive and one day be in doggie heaven. My condolences to the family of a lovely lady.
