Barry Ivan Rosen
age 90, of Chesterfield, Missouri, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2026.
Born in St. Louis, Missouri, on April 18, 1936, Barry was the proud oldest child of Louis and Bertha Rosen. Growing up, he embraced his role as a protective and caring big brother to his four younger siblings. As an adult, Barry spent many dedicated years working hard as a delivery driver for Hostess, bringing a little sweetness to everyone on his route.
Barry lived his life by the Golden Rule. He truly never met a stranger, and anyone fortunate enough to cross his path quickly became a part of his extended family. He was a deeply devoted and active member of Fee Fee Baptist Church, where he served faithfully as a deacon and usher for many years, sharing his warmth and faith with the congregation.
At the heart of Barry’s life was his family. His love story began in middle school when he met the love of his life, Patricia. Together, they shared 71 beautiful, happy years of marriage, building a legacy of unconditional love and celebration. To his family, he was the ultimate protector, provider, and cheerleader. He will be deeply missed as the cherished “Poppie,” remembered fondly for his famous “Poppie Packages,” his delightfully silly gifts, and his boundless, overflowing affection.
Barry was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Louis and Bertha Rosen, and his brother, Sammy Rosen.
He leaves behind a vast and loving family to honor his memory, including his devoted wife, Patricia Rosen; his four children, Deborah (Frank) Risalvato, Douglas Rosen, Daniel (Jill) Rosen, and Edward (Stephanie) Rosen; his nine grandchildren, Kristin (Jacob) Turner, Frank (Jacquline) Risalvato, Kaylee (Scott) Kisling, Rebecca (Kent) Bordelon, Nick (Emily) Rosen, Jake Rosen, Jenna Rosen, Teddy Rosen, and Maddie Rosen; and his ten precious great-grandchildren, Hadley, Colby, Parker, Peyton, Nash, Jace, Tate, Carson, Carolina, and Porter. He is also survived by his loving siblings, Elaine Nieberg, Alan (Linda) Rosen, and Charlene (Ronnie) Zimmerman, along with many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.
Barry’s legacy of kindness, faith, and unconditional love will live on forever in the hearts of his family and everyone who knew him. Rest in peace, Poppie.
