Leonard, Bernell T. “Bud”

93, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on April 2nd, 2021. Dear son of the late Hugh and Ida Leonard. Preceded in death by sisters, Dolores (Don) Vuilcott and Marcella Schmidt, and brother Ronald Leonard. Beloved Husband of Hilda Leonard (nee Trachsel). Dear brother of Dennie (Marlene) Leonard. Devoted Father of Gayle (John) Moynihan and Scott (Donna) Leonard. Much loved grandfather of Jason (Jim) Brown, Jennifer (Mike) Clifton, Christopher (Katie) Brown, Colin Leonard, Caitlin Leonard, and Thomas Leonard. Great-grandfather to Jordynne, Aiden, Grace, Aleah, Charlie, Logan, and Nora. Cherished brother-in-law, father-in-law, uncle, colleague, and friend. Bud was a gifted craftsman, handyman, gardener and an avid golfer. A humble man whose kindness and generosity touched the lives of so many.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 17th at 11:00 am at St. Philip’s United Church of Christ 10708 Lavinia Dr. St. Louis, MO 63123. Masks will be required for the Memorial Service. An open house will be held immediately following the service at the City of Greenpark meeting room at 11100 Mueller Rd, St. Louis, Mo 63123. Covid protocol will be observed.
In lieu of flowers, you may send donations in memory of Bud to St. Philip’s United Church of Christ.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
