Beth Drewett

Beth Drewett, 69, left this world November 23, the way she lived in it — surrounded by love. She passed away peacefully at home, held by her children and family, who reminded her with every breath how deeply she was cherished.

Beth carried a tenderness and a strength that were rare and remarkable. She radiated love. She brought calm to chaos. She listened with her whole heart. She saw the good in others long before they could see it in themselves. She was a wildflower — resilient, beautiful, deeply rooted, and blooming light into the lives of everyone around her.

Her six children were the great purpose of her life — the babes she gave every part of herself to:

Jessica Leigh Kaegel (James Kaegel),

Sean Timothy Sheahan,

Brigid Colleen Driscoll (Luke Driscoll),

Molly Agnes Birchfield (Paul Birchfield),

Madison Elizabeth Sullivan (Dylan Burns),

and Rory Emmett Sullivan.

They were her joy, her strength, her pride, her calling. She mothered with devotion, faith, humor, softness, and incredible grace.

She was “Grandma” to the brightest pieces of her heart:

Braiden Quinn Fusco,

Olivia Rose Birchfield,

Gabrielle Marie Sheahan,

Dane Oliver Birchfield,

Sean Cash Sheahan,

Ryann Parker Driscoll,

Agnes Rooney Burns Sullivan,

and Baby Burns Sullivan, due November 29.

She cherished them beyond words, celebrating every giggle, every milestone, every tiny moment as if it were a blessing — because to her, it was.

Beth also lived a second calling — one she pursued with her whole heart. Through AA and the recovery community, she mentored, guided, and walked beside countless people who were rebuilding their lives. Helping others find sobriety, hope, and healing wasn’t just something she did — it was her life’s work, her mission, her gift to the world. She never judged, never rushed, never gave up on anyone. She believed in people until they could believe in themselves. Her influence will ripple through generations of families whose lives are forever changed because she cared.

Beth leaves behind a large and loving family of siblings:

Ann Million, Scott Million (brother-in-law),

Robert Drewett,

Kathy Schlueter, Michael Schlueter (brother-in-law),

Donald Drewett,

Beanie Drewett (sister-in-law),

Janet Finke, Scott Finke (brother-in-law),

Dorothy Beetz, Daniel Beetz (brother-in-law),

Chuck Drewett, Cindy Drewett (sister-in-law),

Jean Minton, Pete Minton (brother-in-law),

and Amy Payne.

She loved them — and their families — tremendously, holding each niece and nephew close to her heart.

Those who knew Beth describe her as everything good:

a caregiver, a listener, a sponsor, a friend, a source of calm, a soft place to land, a steady hand to hold. She reflected the kindness and love of God in a way that felt effortless and genuine. Her faith was quiet but unshakeable, grounding her through life’s hardest seasons and lifting others with her hope.

She loved gardening and wildflowers, nurturing life with the same devotion she gave people. She loved her dogs. She loved laughter around a crowded table. She loved Christmas — the magic, the lights, the togetherness — a season that mirrored the warmth she carried inside her every day.

Beth’s absence is beyond measure.

But so is her love.

And that love will continue to guide her family, her friends, and every person whose life she touched in recovery and beyond.

A celebration of her life will be shared at a later date. In honor of her, the family encourages acts of kindness, compassion, gratitude, and grace — the way she lived her life, and the legacy she leaves behind.

Her light lives on.

Her love lives on.

And she will be forever missed.

A truly genuine person of grace and compassion. She was gentle and sturdy in all of the interactions and activities I had the pleasure of experiencing with her when we were both young mothers. I admired her spirit. Rest in peace Beth, the same peace you imparted upon others.

    Fondly,
    Patty Rooney

What a Mama you all had! I know you can’t completely describe Beth in a few paragraphs. She was all of that and so much more. My brain has been flooded with memories since she went to be with God. I think she has been dancing with Jesus to Judy Blue Eyes! I will love her and miss her forever, but staying in touch with all of you will guarantee I will be able to see that sparkle in all of your eyes! God bless you.

Sending prayers to the entire family. I’m sorry for your loss. I know this will be tough but just take things one day at a time while you all learn to navigate life without her.
