Hill, Betty Ann (Melson, Bell), 82, of Creve Coeur, MO. died peacefully at her home on January 5, 2025 after a long 8 plus year battle with Peritoneal Cancer. 

Betty was born in Hartman, Arkansas, graduated high school at Hartman High and received an associate’s degree from the University of Missouri, St. Louis.

Betty was married to Dane Melson of Ozone, Arkansas, the father of her deceased children, Dana Diane Melson and Wade O’Brien Melson.  After Dane’s death she later married Joe Hill, deceased, from St. Louis.

Joe and Betty owned and ran Arizona Flag Company until they sold it in 2000.  Before owning the flag company, Betty worked at ITT Blackburn and VonWeise Company.  Joe passed away in 2015 and Betty returned to St. Louis a few years after his death to be near her family in St. Louis.  

Betty enjoyed being with her friends, eating out, reading, traveling, playing games of any kind, but her greatest passion was Pickleball.

Betty is survived by her sister Linda Kay Bell Roell, brother in law, Bob Roell, nieces Melissa Bell Berry and Suzie Hoover Mahon, nephews Bryan, Brad and Blake Roell, great nephew Lucas Wade Roell, William Turner, Jonha Bell, Michael Berry and Jody Epperson, great nieces, Lauren Kate, Mimi, Megan, Maeve and Madeline Roell, Chelsa Morrison, Katie Nunn, Suzanne Woolery, Kimberly and Nicole McLemore great great nephew Jayden Fletcher, Miles Morrison, Myles Yost, Ryan Smith and Flynn Berry, great great nieces Lauren Miller, Hayden Fletcher, Madison McDaniel, Zoey Cross, Charley Bell Bauder, Skyler Morrison and Lux Lemun Berry and several cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Hoyt and Iva Bell, sisters Shirley Montgomery and Flora Hoover, brothers, Jack and Jerry Bell.

A “Celebration of Life” will be held at Chicken N Pickle on January 27 at 6:00 pm.  The address is: 1500 S. Main St., St. Charles, MO.  63303.
