Betty Ellen (Biggs) Horn

Betty Ellen (Biggs) Horn, beloved wife of Donald F. Horn, Sr. of 52 years went home to be with her Savior on December 9, 2016, at the age of 88 surrounded by her loving family.

She graduated from Normandy High School in 1945 as Valedictorian and attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL. Betty was headed to Africa after college to do missionary work, but God had different plans. She worked many years for Southwestern Bell Telephone.

Betty was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Lloyd Heman and Ada Alyce Easter Biggs and was one of nine children. Betty’s greatest joys in life were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Betty gave birth to four children. Preceded in death by Joseph Marvin Mills and Deborah K. Horn; survived by Joy Mills (Larry) of St. Charles, MO, Julie Mills of MO, Donald F. Horn, Jr. (Julie) of Wentzville, MO, Linda Lovelady of St. Louis, MO, Donna McPeters of Warrenton, MO, 22 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren plus those on the way.

Betty was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt and friend to many. Betty will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Just like Jesus, Betty loved unconditionally, and that was her greatest gift. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”

A celebration of life service for Betty Ellen (Biggs) Horn will be on December 20, 2016, at Harvester Christian Church, 2950 Kings Crossing, St. Charles, MO 63303 at 4 p.m. Betty’s Internment is private.
