Billy E. Lane

Billy Everett Lane passed away peacefully at Life Care Center of Bridgeton on July 9, 2023 at the age of 83 years.  He was born in Caruthersville, MO on September 24, 1939.

He is predeceased by his parents, Vernon Lane, Evelyn (nee Medlin) Lane, and his stepfather, Victor Hilliar.  (Vernon Lane died in a torpedo attack during WWII and was buried at sea).

Billy is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sally (nee Barzillo) Lane; his daughter, Rebecca Wegman and his son, Steven (Tina) Lane; Grandchildren, Krystal (Ken) Brown, Tony (Jessica) Camenzind, Tara Camenzind; Daniel Browne, Austin (Olivia) Lane, and Derek Browne; and his great-grandchildren, Daniel Browne, Jr., Carter Brown, Rylan Camenzind, and Bennet Camenzind.

Billy really enjoyed fishing and did so alongside his best buddy, Denny, who is also deceased.

He served 2 years in the Army during peacetime.

He was in UAW Local 110 Chrysler hiring in 1969 and took a transfer to UAW Local 136 where he retired in 2000 as  Journeyman Painter.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Mercy Hospice are appreciated.  They were extremely helpful during Billy’s short stay in skilled nursing.

    Bill was one of the nicest people were ever knew. We were privileged to know him and have him as a extended family member. We will miss him dearly. We love you Bill. Until we see you again, fly high dear friend.

    Bill bill was such a good man. We spoke of are young years and how we changed. He would help anyone and was a wonderful friend. You will be missed billy
