“Bob” Robert J. Jehling

Passed peacefully into God’s arms on December 23, 2013 at age 89.

Beloved Husband of Coletta Marie Jehling (nee Weseman) for 67 years.He is survived by his children Kenneth (Ana Marie), Gerald (Judy), Lawrence (Lynette), William (Karen) and Marie (Richard) Wiesner; his siblings Jackie (John) Moritz and Kenneth (Norma); Grandfather of 18 and great-grandfather of 12. He was a long time executive at Emerson, and a dear friend, Coach and mentor to many.

Bob was born September 8, 1924 in St. Louis, MO to the late William and Margaret Jehling. Bob was a tireless worker and during his 40 years of Executive Management he found time to be a baseball and basketball coach for 20 years for his children and hundreds of others. After retiring from Emerson, he worked for and helped build the Clarkson Eyecare Business in St. Louis for over 15 years. He was a role model for his family, friends and all the people he coached, managed and touched during his entire life. He had a passion for helping others and was extremely active in the Catholic Church in many forms of ministry. He will be greatly missed and always remembered.

Service: Visitation Saturday December 28, 2014 at 10 am at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church (Ellisville, MO) followed by a funeral mass at 11 am and interment at Holy Cross Cemetery (Ellisville). In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Eye Care Charity of Mid-America 732 Goddard Ave, Chesterfield, MO 63005.

    My thoughts and prayers are with all the Jehling family. I have missed giving Bob communion for the past few months. God rest his soul.
