Bobette “Bobbie” Win French

In Loving Memory of Bobette “Bobbie” French

September 4, 1944 – September 30, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mom, grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin, Bobette “Bobbie” French, who left us on September 30, 2026, at the age of 82. In a beautiful and meaningful coincidence, she departed this world to be reunited with her late husband, Michael Lee French, on what would have been their 63rd wedding anniversary. She is also reunited with her late parents, Joseph and “Babe” Giacone.

Bobbie’s legacy of love lives on through her family. She is survived by her three children, Angelia French Childs (Bradley Childs), Annette French Day (Adam Day), and Mike French; her sister, Jo-Ann Seitzinger; her eight grandchildren, Aaron Childs, Allison Childs, Abby Childs Bergman, Kora Day, Carson Day, Hayley French Valencia, Megan French, and Michael French; and her seven great-grandchildren, Violet Childs, Charlie Childs, Maryn Miller, Lyla Miller, Kollins Miller, Anthony Valencia, and Nina Valencia, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Our mom was truly one of a kind. Strong-willed, wonderfully stubborn, and full of sass, she carried a heart full of love and a spirit that couldn’t be dimmed. Mom grew up in Chicago, raised her own family in St. Louis, Missouri, and spent many cherished years enjoying life at the Lake of the Ozarks. In her retirement, she lived in Tampa, Florida, before returning to St. Louis for her final ten years to be close to her family. She and her husband, Mike, shared a passion for golf, making countless memories together both on and off the course.

Bobbie enjoyed life’s simple pleasures—good music,Chick-fil-A, Culver’s, donuts, cigarettes, and anything sweet. She possessed a sharp wit, loved being surrounded by a younger crowd, and never hesitated to appreciate a good-looking man! Through all of life’s challenges, Mom showed incredible resilience. She rarely complained, always made the best of life, and her humor, fierce determination, and unforgettable personality stayed with her until the very end.

We were profoundly blessed to spend her final months right by her side, surrounding her with the family and love she deserved. While our hearts ache without her, we find comfort in knowing she is back in the arms of our savior Jesus Christ. The unconditional love she gave us will live on for generations to come. There will never be another Bobbie French. Until we meet again, we will carry a little piece of Bobbie with us in everything we do.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Bobbie’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association (https://www.google.com/goto?url=CAESSwHrOzAVpwYBCeqC1rGahLWu12OAoXm-tEpNZ9_-CruHCGrJi01Sn2kS-jwiP3-8JE1mS6GeUqqEG49NVTDEKQ_5k14m4wD_i2bFaA) or the Dementia Society of America (https://www.google.com/goto?url=CAESVwHrOzAVmauIDnTMoReDdGFehJn-PGvtJPAqlOo679vBg-qv3lQDYRBRrLNEeasy1Bb719Bmu2zvxfuwwilsntaohmUSGAgZFPT-fB03ajnDFQh_fKyPLQ) to support research, families, and caregivers navigating dementia.

In her honor, a private Celebration of Life will be held.

Forever loved, forever missed, and forever our Mom.

My sister was very special. I will miss her our hours of laughter. She excelled in sports as a kid, while I could barely throw a ball. When I got my first bicycle at about 10 she was riding it at 7 before I could get training wheels off. She loved to dance and always had a smile on her face. Losing Bobette feels like I lost a limb…a piece of me is gone for now. But I know I will see her again in Heaven one day with the rest of our beloved family.

I feel so blessed to be able to see just a small snapshot of the love this woman has shown to all of you! She had an amazing support system when things got hard and it no doubt was because she was an amazing mother and woman! Thank you for trusting her care to me even if it was just a short season! I continue to pray for your family that the grief gets easier but her memory will forever live with you!
