Bohn, Raymond A.

Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on June 19, 2016. Born 1927 to the late Raymond Bohn Sr., and Loretta Bohn; husband of the late Betty Bohn; devoted father of Gail (Jerry) Lasher, Sandra (Steve) Teter, Janice Bohn; cherished grandfather of 8 and proud great grandfather of 3; dear brother of Robert Bohn Sr., the late Joann Prince and the late Jeralynn Young; brother-in-law, godfather, uncle, cousin and friend of many.

Ray served his country, 27th Wolf Hound Regiment, 25th Infantry Division, U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired President of Melcher Schene Hardware Company, A.H.C. Ray was chosen for “The Greater St. Louis Honor Flight” to Washington D.C.; interviewed by the “Witness to War Foundation” and archived in the National Library of Congress; selected and honored in St. Louis Post-Dispatch, “Stories of Honor”, his story will be published on July 3, 2016 and the state of Missouri’s Veterans’ Home News; selected and honored as “Veteran of the Month” where he resided at the Missouri Veteran’s Home of St. Louis.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the caring staff and friends at the Missouri Veteran’s Home; Also, his RN (angel) Julie and John Cochran VA Hospital. Finally, we appreciate Father Welsch for his friendship and compassion.

Services: Visitation at 10am with a Memorial Mass to follow at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, 12934 Marine Ave, 63146, Saturday, July 16 at 11am . Ray donated his body to The St. Louis University School of Medicine. In lieu of flowers, donations to Heroes Care, www.heroescare.org, appreciated.
