Bonita L. Kozak
Bonita (Bonnie) L. Kozak, 74, of St. Charles, MO passed away due to Lung Cancer on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 4:27 p.m. at BJSP Hospital. She was born on June 28, 1942 in Joliet IL, the daughter of Edward J. and Alma Rozman. She married Gerald (Fuzzy) Kozak on May 26, 1962 at St. Anne’s Church, Crest Hill, Illinois. She worked at St. Charles Optical for 25 years until her retirement. Bonnie was a dedicated wife and mother who cherished time with her family. She loved playing bridge, her breakfast friends, her book club, attending bible study, hunting and fishing with her husband (she was a lifetime member of the NRA), and spending time with her children and grand-children.
Surviving are her husband: Gerald Kozak of St. Charles, MO; daughter: Gina (Joe) Ostmann of Frankfort, IL; sons: Scott Kozak, McKinney, TX and Eric (Sally) Kozak of Troy, IL. Grandchildren: Kayla Ostmann, Samantha Ostmann, Anna Ostmann, Dmitri Kozak, Natasha Kozak and Caroline Kozak; great-grandson: Jackson Kozak; brother, Greg (Wendy) Munich; sisters, Georgia Kirk and Celeste (Gary) Setbacken and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Edward (died in WW II) and Alma Rozman, and her step father John Munich.
Bonnie donated her body to medical research. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be Monday, November 28th at 2:00 p.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church 601 N. 4th street, St. Charles MO 63301. Family will be at the church to receive friends at 12:30 until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to BJSPH support fund: Siteman Cancer Center Fund, 10 Hospital Drive, St. Peters, MO 63376 or any cancer organization of your choice.
