Bonnie King was an amazing woman who was loved dearly and will be greatly missed, but will always be remembered.

Bonnie struggled with her health over the years. After unexpectedly collapsing at home several days prior, she passed away peacefully at Barnes St. Peter’s Hospital on January 17, 2019.

Bonnie was the beloved wife of Rich King for 52 years, the loving mom of Jada King (Dave Menke) and cherished grandma of Michaela, Dillon and Brooke. She was preceded in death by sisters Hattie (Bill) Horton and Billie Jo (Bill) Pals; as well as brother Tom Montgomery. Bonnie is survived by her sister Peggy (the late Harry) Metcalf; brothers Conrad (Mary Anne) Montgomery and Dennis Montgomery; and her sister-in-law Betsy Montgomery. Bonnie was also an aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend to many more.

Bonnie’s family is respecting her wishes and not holding a funeral or memorial service. Instead, her family will host a luncheon on February 9, as a way to bring family and friends together, because nothing meant more to Bonnie than her family. Bonnie’s especially close bond with her grandchildren is also something that anyone who knew Bonnie can attest to. She was so proud of them and was very involved in their everyday lives, especially their education.
