Brandi Ross
Brandi Cezanne Ross was born, September 12, 1975 to Sandra Ross in San Leandro, California. At the tender age of 6, Sandy, Brandi’s mother, placed her in the loving care of her Great-Aunt Lavada Morgan. Lavada assumed guardianship of her dear Brandi and raised and nurtured her as her own child in St. Louis, Missouri. She passed away unexpectedly in St. Louis, MO on August 5, 2015.
Brandi attended St. Louis Academy and Stevens Middle Schools. She received her high school diploma from Gateway Institute of Technology in St. Louis, Missouri and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Urban Education from Harris Stowe University.
Brandi started working in the Wellston School District as a teacher’s aide. Brandi loved teaching and teaching loved Brandi; she gave her students hope, love and encouragement. Upon leaving the school district, she received numerous letters extolling, honoring and recognizing her commitment. Her students loved and respected her and her colleagues valued her contribution.
Brandi’s career led her to employment at the St. Louis State Hospital. She served as a Psychiatric Technician and gave her patients excellent care.
Brandi was a Christian and she loved the Lord! She was a member of Chronicles Christian Center in Florissant, Missouri. She served in various ministries but, she was especially proud to serve as a teacher for the youth praise dancers and she started “Sister Girl Saturday” at Chronicles Christian Center.
Brandi was very talented and had many gifts. She loved to cook. She played darts and dodge ball, bowling and scrabble, in fact she could often be found at the kitchen table at her childhood home playing scrabble or enjoying a meal with friends and family and she would smile and laugh as beat all challengers. Brandi loved clothes, shoes, a sharp hair style and she loved to dress; but, most of all she loved life.
Now I lay me down to sleep.
I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
If I should die before I wake.
I pray the Lord my soul to take.
Brandi Cezanne Ross, was called home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, July 29, 2015. She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory: Mother Sandra Ross, Great-Aunt Lavada Morgan, two special cousins James (Ricky) Morgan and Roslyn Morgan, two aunts Linda Clark & Karen Bickert and a host of cousins and friends.
