Brent M. Richards
Brent M. Richards of Saint Charles, Missouri, passed away at the age of 34 on Wednesday, January 31st, 2018. He was born in Columbia, Missouri, on February 15th, 1983. Brent was the loving son of Norm and Linda (Mielke) Richards and caring brother of Allison Richards. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Clyde & Gladys Richards, Laurence & Colleen Mielke, Uncles John Tripp and Daymon Rohrbacher, and Aunt Jena (Dusty) Mielke. Brent was the dear nephew, cousin and fun loving friend to many. He leaves behind two faithful fur babies, his cat, Jerry Garcia and his dog, Bella Donna.
Brent was baptized and confirmed at St. John United Church of Christ in Saint Charles, MO. He was a member of the youth choir and enjoyed participating in summer youth-group trips and activities.
Brent graduated from Duchesne High School, received his Associate of Arts and Applied Sciences degree from Saint Charles Community College, and attained a Bachelor degree of Liberal Studies in Political Science, Sociology and Business Administration from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis (UMSL). He found joy and adventure through frisbee golfing, music festivals, camping, and fishing, but baseball was his sports passion.
Brent’s career consisted of various restaurant management positions. He most recently served as the General Manager of McAlister’s Deli in Saint Charles.
Family, friends and others whose lives Brent touched are invited to attend a Celebration of Life, which will be held on Saturday, February 17th, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at St. John United Church of Christ (405 South Fifth Street, Saint Charles, MO 63301).
Charitable contributions in memory of Brent can be made to Five Acres Animal Shelter (1099 Pralle Lane, Saint Charles, MO 63303) or to the Humane Society of Missouri (1201 Macklind Ave., Saint Louis, MO 63110).

I loved Brent. Brent was just hitting his stride, encountering successes and achieving goals. He loved his mom and dad. My heart goes out to the family. I’m glad I had the chance to know Brent.

Norm, Linda, Allison and family – We were saddened to learn of the death of Brent. We didn’t know him, but we know the Richards family from our Canton days.
