Carl Anthony Dischert

Fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Church, Carl Anthony Dischert passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, surrounded by family.  He was 67 years old.  Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Audrey and Ralph Dischert and two brothers, Tom and ‘lil Ralph.  He is survived by six siblings and their families: Jim, Paul, Donn, Mark, Diane, and Eric, who will miss him dearly.

Carl was a generous, witty, congenial and warm-hearted friend to many, having lived and worked his entire life in South St. Louis.  An avid fan of the St. Louis Blues and Rams, Carl also loved rock ‘n roll music as well as a thought-provoking book.  His commercial life was spent as a bookbinder and later, a production manager.  It was evident in his work and personal life that Carl possessed many positive characteristics – honesty, integrity, perseverance, and a solid work ethic.  Though life dealt him many difficulties and challenges, he will be remembered fondly for his many positive attributes. Carl, “long may you run…”❤️

A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Joan of Arc on September 8, 2026 at 11:00am (preceded by an hour visitation with family in the church vestibule).  A private interment will follow.

Contributions in Carl’s name to the Society for the Blind and Visually Impaired of St. Louis or NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) STL are much appreciated.
