Carl Gove Drake
Carl Gove Drake, 41, of Overland, Missouri, died on Thursday, February 11, 2021, at St. Joseph Hospital St. Charles, Missouri.
Carl was born on September 14, 1979, at St Mary’s Health Center in Richmond Heights, Missouri to Michael Franklin and Sheila Ann Drake (NEE: Kissee).
Mr. Drake was employed by Rock Bottom Wholesale for 13 Years where he was passionate about his work and considered his co-workers, his second family. Carl enjoyed camping and fishing at the lake with his wonderful friends and family every chance he got. He is remembered for his spontaneous personality, love for life and his ability to make people laugh.
Carl is the dear son of Michael Franklin and Cathy (NEE: Botkin) Drake of Union; loving brother of Jennifer Gail (Robert) Berry (NEE: Rice) of Wildwood and Tabitha Lynn Drake (Keith E. Obrien) of Pacific; beloved cousin/brother of Dewey Harold Bradley of Kansas City; devoted father of Makayla Lynn Drake of Pacific, Zachary Michael Drake of Overland and Hailey Marie Drake of Wright City; dear uncle of Kenneth Christopher West of St. Ann, Kristilynn Capri West of St. Ann, Kalib Cody Rice of Overland, Tara Marie Regna of Pacific City, Michael John Drake of Pacific and Jasmine Ann Marie Drake of Pacific. He is also a beloved nephew, cousin and friend to many and will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
Carl is preceded in death by his mother, Sheila Ann Drake, his maternal grandparents Laura Willamae (Vandevort) Robinson, Hugh Vergil Kissee, and Alvie Joe Robinson Sr.; paternal grandparents Albert Faye (Vest) Pritchett, Jessie Franklin Drake, And Carl Gove Pritchett and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
So sorry for your loss. Carl was the father of my three wonderful grandchildren. Makayla, Zach and Hailey. Grandpa and my heart ache from your hurt we love you very much. My deepest condolences to the Drake family, Carl was a good hearted person, Carl and Patti were always there for my children and I when I needed it the most. We raised our kids for the first part of their lives together and those memories I will always hold near. I love you guys and am here if you need anything.
