Carl Joseph Vorst
Carl Vorst, age 77, of St. Ann, Missouri passed away on Wednesday June 2, 2021 in St. Louis, Missouri; surrounded by his family.
A private service for immediate family will be held on Saturday July 17, 2021 with Doyle Roth officiating. The celebration of life will follow from 12-5 P.M. at the Vorst Home.

Carl was born in St. Louis on February 16, 1944, as the only beloved child to Lina and Joseph Vorst. He was a 1962 graduate of Pattonville High School and married Carole (Hesser) Vorst on March 13, 1965 at St. Ann Christian Church. Following their marriage, he attended Rolla School of Mines, where he graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering in January 1968, followed later by an MBA from Lindenwood University. Immediately following his graduation from Rolla School of Mines, he embarked on a 47 year career as an electrical engineer with Conductron/McDonnell Douglas/The Boeing Company, during which time he earned multiple patents for his innovative designs and was awarded the distinguished position of Technical Fellow. Carl was a member of Harvester Christian Church, former church deacon and elder, scout leader, board member for the YMCA, President of the Board of Education for Ritenour School District, and Executive Director of Amer-Hatian Bon Zami/House of Hope for over 25 years.
Carl is preceded in death by his father Joseph Vorst, and his mother Lina Vorst (Weller).
Carl is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carole (Hesser). He was a proud father to Jennifer (Richard Goodman), Eric (Chrissy Kauppila), and Matthew (Lisa Patton) and beloved cousin to Jlselore Janitch (Scherer) and his cousins in Germany. He was a dear brother-in-law and uncle. He was the guardian/father of his Haitian daughters: Melinda (Jules), Kristi (Jules), and Melissa (Jules, Greg Atis and their children, Dominic and Daniella). One of his greatest joys was his six grandchildren: Joseph, Sarah, Cecilia, Charlie, Ava, and William.
