Carl P. Hibbert

Carl P. Hibbert passed away peacefully on Monday, June 9, 2025, at the age of 80. Carl was born on April 13, 1945, in St. Louis, Missouri. He was predeceased by his parents, Harry V. Hibbert and Marie F. Hibbert (nee Reever), and his brother, Harry W. Hibbert (Jackson, MS). 

Carl is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Jacquelyn A. Hibbert and Danielle L. Hibbert; sisters, Judy M. (Ronald) Boles and Sherlyn S. Renner; and his ex-wife and dear friend, Kathy A. Meek. 

Carl graduated from Eureka High School in 1963 and went on to serve in the United States Army in 1965 – 1967. 

Carl was a truck driver during his working years, spending time driving over-the-road and then locally until his retirement in 2014. As a younger man, Carl was an enthusiastic hunter and enjoyed cars and motorcycles. He loved his dogs and enjoyed telling stories to friends and family.

Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to de Greeff Hospice House via the Mercy Health Foundation (mercyhealthfoundation.net/south) or a nature conservation or environmental organization of the donor’s choice. 

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.

    I met Carl when he and Kathy had Jacquelyn. My husband Orville knew Carl from work.
    Many years after all of our kids were grown, Orville and Carl would go to lunch or breakfast to catch up with each other. We are so very sorry that Carl is gone. If there is anything we can do to help you, please let us know.
