Carole S. Hand, nee Smiley, of Warson Woods, passed away on November 3, 2014 at age 81. She was preceded in death by her husband the late Missouri State Representative Raymond William Hand; loving mother of Steven (Debbie) Hand, Carolyn (Bruce) Nilges and Sara (Joel) Rader. Beloved Grandmother of Andrew Nilges, Lauren Nilges, Christian Rader, Lucas Rader and step-granddaughter Chandra (Tim) Fessler and great step-grandmother of Matthew Fessler. Dear sister of William (Sally) Smiley. Beloved daughter of the late William F. and Frances Smiley of Columbus Ohio. She was a dear sister in-law, aunt and friend to many. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Carole may be made to the Humane Society of Missouri, 1201 Macklind Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63110. Memorial services will be held at Webster Hills United Methodist Church, 698 West Lockwood, Webster Groves, MO 63119, (314) 961-3164 at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 8^th. The family will receive visitors following the ceremony in the church chapel.
