Charles “Tom” Gordon

Charles Thomas “Tom” Gordon of Hillsboro, MO succumb from illness on Tuesday January 2, 2018 with his sisters Phyllis and Lynn at his side. He was preceded into the hereafter by his father Charles “Bud” Gordon by just 12 hours, by his mother Charlotte Ann Gordon in June of 2016, and by his older brother Dennis Keith Gordon in 1961. Tom was born on May 25th in 1958 and was of 59 years old.

Tom was a proud father of four children (Laura Weber, Tom Gordon, Christopher Gordon, and Melissa Gordon). Tom was disabled from diabetes and lived with his ailing father the last few years of his life. He’d work in several industries throughout his life including welding, insurance sales, automobile sales, cleaning services, and HVAC.

 

Tom is most remembered by friends and loved ones for his natural musical talents. He played several instruments including keyboards, piano, alto sax, tenor sax, banjo, fiddle, acoustic guitar, electric guitar and bass guitar. He played in the marching band at Fox High School (where he graduated in 1976). He loved music and was a member of several bands throughout his life entertaining crowds in honkytonks and lounges in the St. Louis and Jefferson county area. Tom also studied music theory at Jefferson College.

Joint services for Tom and his father Charles “Bud” Gordon Jr. (who tragically died just 12 hours before Tom) will be held on Friday January 19th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at St. Louis Crematory.

    Rip Buddy looking Southern comfort reunion wish I could have seen you again way back remember Julie look A lot different time I knew you best times we had see you on the other side.I still have old pictures .
