Charles Walker
Charles J. (Honigfort) Walker
Born August 1, 1953
Passed suddenly at his residence of Delmar Gardens of Chesterfield on February 3, 2026 at the age of 73 years.
Charles was born in Saint Louis, Missouri and spent his childhood at Wild Horse Creek Road in Chesterfield, Missouri with his mother and grandfather. He attended Ascension Elementary Catholic School in Chesterfield, attended De Smet Jesuit High School in St. Louis County for three years before graduating from Parkway West Senior High in 1971.
“Chuck” (as referred by those who knew him well), had always displayed a cheerful disposition, excellent sense of humor and was very much loved by the persons lucky enough to have known him.
He enjoyed the outdoors, and was an avid wrestler in high school. During his first year as a promising student at Washington University in 1973, a tragic incident occurred which resulted in damage to his motor skills setting him back in his life’s ambitions. After years of rehabilitation and pure relentless drive on his part, Chuck was able to be self sufficient for decades. As years passed the injuries caught up with him requiring need to receive additional care and therapy at a professional facility.
Chuck survived his recently deceased mother, Johanna R. Honigfort Walker, his stepfather, Eugene P. Walker the 3rd, his brother Brian Walker, and stepbrother Preston Walker. He is survived by his aunt, Betty Honigfort, along with multitudes of first cousins, cousins once and twice removed!
Chuck is the perfect example of one with a love for life, drive, and excellent character admired by all who had the pleasure and honor of knowing him!
