Charlotte Mae Gipson, formerly of La Grange MO, 87, passed away in peace on July 13, 2022. with family by her side in St. Louis MO.

At her request, no service will be held.

She was born to Harvey and Annie (Weather) Allen in La Grange, Missouri on November 11, 1934.

Charlotte graduated from Douglas High School in 1952.

Charlotte worked at Davis Cleaver for 25+ years and then after that worked various jobs including: La Grange Foundry and dedicated her time as a foster grandparent. She was passionate about helping others and making them apart of her family.

She would take the shirt off her back to give to someone in need. When she wasn’t working hard, she took great pride in being a mother and caregiver to her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking Sunday dinners, watching football, reading romance Indian novels, and supporting her grandchildren in everything they did. She loved her family.

She married Robert E Gipson Sr. on March 14, 1958, and they lived together in La Grange, Missouri. Together they raised five children. He survives.

In addition to her husband, Robert of Canton, MO She is also survived by her sister, Earlene Mosby of Quincy, IL, three children including: Bobette (Gipson) Patton of St. Louis MO, Colette Gipson of Quincy, IL, Robert Gipson Jr of San Diego, CA. Ten grandchildren, including: the Twins, Paris & Alexis Clay, D’Andera Cron(Ryan), Kristen Noel Crawley(Don) Dre Spradlin, Jehrin Gipson, Brookyln Gipson, , Tyrelle Walker, Brettania Osborne (Tavonne), Nicole Osborne-McGough(David), Two daughter-in-law, Carey Gipson, and Patsy Gipson, 11 great-grandchildren, including: LaNeare Taylor Jr, Apryll Taylor, Jaela Osborne-McGough, Nalani Osborne-McGough, Caedence Osborne-McGough, Journee Osborne-McGough, Xaidyn Oliver-Osborne, Jalen Cron, Isadora Cron, Don Eugene Crawley III, Luc Allen Crawley, numerous nieces and nephews including a special niece Judie.

She’s preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Annie Allen, her four brothers, Russell, Wendell, Herbert, and Earl Allen, Her Two Sons Brett and Bart Gipson.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association Greater Missouri Chapter. 9370 Olive Blvd. St. Louis, MO 63132.
