Clifford Loren Lough
Cliff slid through the Pearly Gates, yelling “What a Ride!” Tuesday, June 13th while hiking in Illinois. He was born January 8th, 1957 to Charles and Norma (Martindale) Lough in Wieser, Idaho.
After graduating from Boise High in 1976, he entered the Navy and was honorably discharged as a Petty Officer First Class (PO1). After leaving the Navy, Cliff spent the majority of his career in wastewater, where he loved to retort, "I know my crap!" He loved all outdoor activities including fishing, hunting, riding his motorcycle, and exploring.
He married Gwenna (Walter) in 1983 and had two children together. Later in life, he met Robbie. She has been his partner and his rock. Her son Ian (Jessie&Nova) has been part of his family. Together they attended the Mt Zion Presbyterian Church, where he sat on the Nominating Committee. Cliff was part of the FAM Motorcycle Club – Monmouth IL, until they disbanded. He retired in 2021 and was enjoying life.
Cliff is survived by his life partner Robbie Gephart, Ex-Wife: Gwenna Lough, Children: Ashley (Ronald) Pickett, Patrick (Melissa) Lough, and Ian (Jessie) Gephart, and Grandchildren: Trinitey, Mynley, Kinzley, Oliver, Alvin, and Nova. Brother: Walter Lough. Along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Along with a multitude of Friends. Cliff is preceded in death by his Parents: Charles and Norma Lough, his Brothers: Lynn and Jim Lough, and Sister: Evelyn Katula.
We would also like to thank Robbie for loving our father until his last breath, along with the 1st responders that helped aid our father during this tragedy.
I didn’t know Clint very long but when I think of him I see his big grin and hear his kind words. He would do anything for anyone. He loved his family and Robbie’s family and they loved him. I will miss getting to know him better but will be grateful for the fact that I got to know him.
I was looking forward to our ride threw Lolo pass this summer, I know you’re riding with angles. Till we see each other again..
So very sorry to learn of the loss of Cliff . I worked with him for a few years and enjoyed the conversations we had on numerous subjects and he especially enjoyed talking about his time in the Navy and the many adventures he had . He spoke frequently about Robbie and the fun they had together . He will be greatly missed , may he rest in peace .
