Colton John Laredo Smith, age 20, of Hillsboro, passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 25, 2026 at Cardinal Glennon Hospital in St. Louis.

Colton was born June 10, 2006, in Arkadelphia, AR to Christopher and Michelle Smith of Willisville, AR.

Colton was a 2025 graduate of Hillsboro High School, in Hillsboro, MO.

Colton fought a long hard battle from the time he was 10 and diagnosed with brain cancer and all the medical issues it caused, until the end. Colton was very loved by so many people.

Colton is survived by his parents, Christopher and Michelle, brothers Dakota and Kaleb, sister Caitlyn, all of Hillsboro, grandmother Sonja Hair, of Hope, AR and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceeded in death by maternal grandmother Marva Nell Baldwin,  parternal grandfather Wayne Richard Smith, and paternal great grandmother Marie Annette Bradley.

There will be a Celebration of Life announced at a later date.
