Dale Allen Davis was born on June 5th, 1962, in Alton, Illinois, and he departed this life on Monday, February 26th, 2024. He was 61 years old.

Dale and Sarah were married on June 28, 1982, in Casper, Wyoming. They were married for 41 years, they had two daughters, Stephanie Koth and Monica Davis, and a faithful dog Sydney.

He is survived by his mother Arlene Yost, daughters, son-in-law James Koth, and three grandsons Ryker Koth, Atticus Koth, and Gabriel Maynez.

Siblings: Kimberly DuBois, Dan Davis, Howard Peters III, Anthony Peters, Mathew Peters, and Rebekah Moore.

Aunts and Uncles: Doug O’Neal, Mike O’Neal, Melvia O’Neal, and Chuck Board.

Cousins: Jon O’Neal, Kelly O’Neal, Sarah Board, and Becky Hewlett Waters.

Nieces and Nephews: Heather Ackerman, Misty Fletcher, Justin Ackerman, Deric Davis, Kylee Bunge, Howie Peters, Nick Peters, Emily Peters, Kim Schetter, Taylor Arjona, Rachel Peters, Michael Peters, Michaela Cronin, Samantha Moore, Sophia Moore, and Jessica Moore.

He is preceded in death by his wife Sarah Davis, Brother Brian Davis, Stepfather Dennis Yost, Uncle Pat O’Neal, Aunt Linda Hewlett, Aunt Peggy Board, Aunt Alana O’Neal, Nephew Dru Davis, Father-in-law Howard Peters Jr, Mother-in-law Judy Peters, and Stepmother-in-law Marilyn Peters.

Dale will be remembered as a devoted husband & best friend, loving dad, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Dale was known to always have a smile on his face and a kind and open heart. Dale worked in the restaurant and hospitality industry all his life. His fascination and love for the artistic side of the culinary arts is what motivated him. He worked his way up the ladder from a line level cook to an executive chef. He took pride in everything he did from his Ice Sculpting and garnishee work to every plate that was served under his supervision. His hobbies included traveling, photography, knife making, music, and riding motorcycles. Dale battled with cancer for almost 2 years. His family is grateful that he can now rest at peace alongside his wife.

There will be a Celebration of Life held in his honor details provided privately.

    I have known Dale for almost 25 years. He was a mentor to me as well as friend. I am sad, but also happy he will be with Sarah once again. He will be sorely missed. RIP Chef Dale. Your friend, Vickie Fuller

    Dale was a friend of mine from East Junior HS. He befriended me when I was new to Alton. His friendship was precious to me at the time. I am deeply saddened of his passing. I pray that his last days were spent with friends and family. God bless you Dale.
