Dad, I will miss our daily conversations and all the teasing between you and Fritz over me. I am still expecting those calls each day and know it will take a while to realize those moments won’t happen again. I am grateful for the song you sang to Fritz and I last week. I know you were ready to see mom and to meet Jesus finally. I am happy for you that you are now with them both. Tell mom we miss her still and give her a big hug!! May your joy now and forever know no boundries. I love you and will miss you. Rest in Peace now.

    Precious, my grandpa.
I will sure miss you. Christmas will never be the same with out you here. My favorite memories are of Christmas in Cahokia. We would gather for food, laughter, stories, music and games. You and grandma always had a gift for us all. One year you surprised me and Ashley and AmanDa with a beautiful dollhouse you had worked so hard on. I remember us all gathering to play our instruments and how amazingly you played the trumpet. You gave me memories of camping and sitting beside the campfires and playing UNO. You would often cheat and then pout when it didn’t go as you planned. You taught me to paint a beautiful portrait of mountains with a lake, you taught me to sneak in the kitchen at night to eat grandmas cherry pie. You would sing to my children and laugh and play with them. You will be so much missed. I am just amazed at all the things you taught yourself if those last years. The guitar, the harmonica, the wooden flute. You sang so many songs and told us stories of Jesus. But grandpa, Precious, most of all you taught me to love. I love you. This isn’t goodbye, it’s see you later.
    Love you Precious!
    Love Amy (your favorite! ????)

Our family met Dale at Delmar Gardens West and became friends immediately. My Mother had pictures of Dale’s work hung in her room and she was lucky enough to have Dale sing her Happy Birthday a few times. Always a smile, and a friendly gesture. So very sorry for the loss. Dale will be missed by SO MANY.

Roslyn Katz’s daughters, Anita, Ilene and Judy.

Just saw this. Dale and Betty were our neighbors on S Country Club in Jefferson City for 8 years. There are many things they blessed our family with. One of the most memorable and significant things was the painting lessons he gave our 3 daughters. They all have an amazing level of ability and continue to paint regularly.
