Dane Kevin Christopher Glenny
Dane Kevin Christopher Glenny, born March 6, 1984 in St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on June 2, 2021 in Lake St. Louis, Missouri from a mental illness.
Dane loved nature and being outdoors whether it was walking in the creek or on the river driving his boat and he also had a joy for fishing. Dane was passionate about creating art with his beautiful daughter, Willow which included engraving their art into wood and they enjoyed painting together. He was very active and had a love for music, especially The Grateful Dead and Tom McDonald. Although Dane had many things he was passionate about, the most important to him was the tremendous love and drive for his family.
Dane leaves behind his fiancee and soulmate, Amber Hermann; daughter Willow and soon to be son, Hunter whom he loved all dearly. He is also survived by his grandmother, Pamela Glenny, aunt Debbie and numerous cousins. Dane will be missed by his many friends and mother, Kathy Glenny. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Owen Glenny and his beloved animals, Ziggy and Spike.
“Remember me whenever you see the Sunrise,
Remember me when you see a Star,
Remember me whenever you see a Rainbow or a Rose from a far and Remember,
I’ll be Remembering you.”
We all have reasons why it’s hard to reach out, but we know you are at peace, my love.
To my cousin Amber and their daughter Willow,
I have known Dane since the third grade and many of my childhood memories have him in it. Not all of those memories I like to remember, but there were still many that were good and I will always cherish those.
A classic example of a Dane experience was in high school and I was able to sign myself out and he wanted to go with me so I snuck him in my trunk. He must of really wanted a smoke. Before I could pull over far enough away I thought my car was on fire because smoke was coming in from the back and than realized it was cigarette smoke.????
Another trunk experience was when we went to Spook stock and I snuck him, little Cody and Brook in my car. When we got to a parking spot and I popped my trunk, out they came one at a time like a clown car. Some random dude was tripping out because he didn’t know how many more people were coming out of my trunk.????
I have definitely changed from that wild girl not knowing any better. Life is full of memories that may or may not always be so fun to look back on. I think Dane has shown us that we need to let go of the bad memories and value the good ones because we never know when those could be your last memories with someone.
Unfortunately now my cousin you have to be strong for your daughter and unborn son. You have to pick your head up and keep on keeping on because you have people who need you and I know you are stronger than you give yourself credit for. If you need anything call me. You and yours are always in my thoughts and prayers. I love you guys and I hope with time your pain will ease.
