Darlene Bequette
Darlene Jeanette Bequette (nee Parker), age 85, of St. Mary, MO passed away peacefully on August 30, 2024. She was born in Seventy-Six, MO to Sylvia (nee Grayson) and Chalmer Parker on March 3, 1939.
Darlene was married to the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Bequette Sr. for 57 years who died in 2014. She was also preceded in death by their three sons, Bruce Robert (1993), Darrell Joseph (1980), and Robert Anthony Jr. (2006).
Darlene was a diligent worker and held many different jobs over the years. She and her husband Bob started a lawn business that they enjoyed doing together. She had many hobbies. She loved sewing, crocheting, embroidering and baking. Plants were her passion. She could grow anything! She loved teaching and sharing that knowledge with her granddaughters and son-in-law.
Darlene is survived by her daughter Dana (Chris) Bartram.
Darlene’s legacy also includes six grandchildren: Abby (Kyle), Emily, Stephanie, Heather (Chad), Brandy (David) and Joe. She was also blessed with six great-grandchildren: Ella, Payton, Annalyn, Natalie, Lauren and Carter.
It was her wish to be buried with the remains of her husband and two sons at St. Mary’s Cemetery next to their other son. There will be a graveside prayer in the Spring – Mom’s favorite time of year.
My bestest friend you will be in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this sad time. Though it will seem unbearable at times just know your not alone. I’m here as you were for me when my Jordan was called to go home. Though I only met her once I talked to her several times on the phone as well as having many conversations with you about her. I know she was an amazing woman and had her own unbearable losses in her life. An strong and beautiful person that raised a wonderful daughter that is amazing and a great friend to me. My prayers will be with you and family for comfort and peace. I love you always your friend Lisa (bestie)🥰❤️
I am so sorry for your loss. I know what you are going through. It is hard but all the wonderful memories and fun times you shared with her will get you through. Please let me know if you need anything. We need to get together soon. You are in my prayers.
