Darron, better known by his middle name—Terrell—was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Janice Yates and
James Connors. Terrell attended the University City public school system and graduated from West
County Technical High School. Terrell was raised in a home that honored and reverenced God and His
mighty works. In fact, at the age of 10, he was miraculously healed of bone cancer. Terrell was
multifaceted including being an amazing chef. His culinary talents graced some of the best country clubs
in St. Louis County. Terrell was once in a Carpenters’ Union and went on to start a successful home
remodeling company—Home Source Remodeling, Inc.—where he hired and trained many people under
his tutelage.
Terrell accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized under the leadership of Reverend Herman W.
Gore, (deceased) at Christ Southern Mission Baptist Church., and he also sang in the Junior and
Intermediate choirs. Terrell was also a member of the Witness for Christ Prayer Band, which was
founded by his grandmother, Sally Yates, and bible study was held in the home in which he grew up.
Terrell leaves to cherish his memory his parents: Mother—Janice Yates; Father–James Connor; Two
Children: Daughter—Logan Catherine Yates (Ryan); Son—Michael Christopher Yates (Amy). He also
leaves: his Aunt Sharon Williams; Great Aunts—Najma Rafat and Leoria Lawson; Great Uncle—Walter
Rainey (Anne); Cousins:, Yolanda Rochelle Williams (John), Darnell Yates Jr. (Deveta), Kimberly Denise
Williams (Michael), Danielle Patrice Yates (Marsha), Dierdra Janeé Yates, Lisa Marie Cohnes (Thomas),
Edwin Robert Williams Jr., Marquetta Duke, Kimberly Yates (Darryl), Rashidah Rafat, Abdul Nafi Rafat,
Baqi Cherry, Reginald Lawson, Dominique Jemahl Luckett, Déja Monet Bowie, Darné Monique Janeé
Yates, Alexia Denise Luckett, Tara Denean Robinson, Micalah Keturah Harris, Thomas Lewis Cohnes Jr.,
Darnell Devon Yates, Kennedy Anise Cohnes, and Caden Bakari Stanton; two Half Sisters Knocka and
Meeco Connors along with his Step-Mother, Noah Connors; Logan’s Mother—Michelle Bolden (Derek);
Auntie – Allene Mary Benson; and a host of other relatives and friends. Terrell’s Wife—Pamela Yvette
Yates; Grandmother—Sally Yates; and Uncle—Darnell Yates, Sr. all preceded him in death.
