David Lee Adams
David Lee Adams was born on March 29, 1944 in San Pedro, California. He went to be with the Lord on May 12, 2017 after fighting a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s.
David was the beloved husband of 55 years to Donna Adams (nee Turner); devoted father of Sandra Adams, Tammy (Matthew) Godbee, Jeff (Jody) Adams, and Sharon (Gary) Young; the loving grandfather of Justin (Jennifer) Schmidt, Amanda Shepherd, Andrew (Becca) Schmidt, Emily Jablonski, Elayna Jabonski, Abigail Godbee, Elizabeth Godbee, Meagan Oliver, Morgan (Tyler) Thwig; proud great-grandfather of 7; dear brother of Willa Dean (Dean) Overton and Connie Mize. David is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other family members and many friends.
He was preceded in death by: both parents, the late Clifford and Wilma Adams (nee Perry); brother, Robert Adams and sister-in-law Tomiko Adams; sister, Lavanda Casteel and brother-in-law Ernie Casteel; sister, Karen Frazier and brother-in-law Russell Frazier; and one grandson, Anthony David Adams.
David was a carpenter by trade, a passionate fisherman and an avid conversationalist. He loved being outdoors. Most importantly, David was a “family man” who enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Services: A Visitation will be held for David on Friday, May 19th, 2017 at 1:30 pm, followed by a service beginning at 2:30 pm at Grace Community Chapel, 7661 Mexico Rd., St. Peters MO 63376. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association via Team Adams (<<click here) with Captain Sandy Adams.

So much love for Uncle David. Always showed me great kindness and love whenever I was around him. He and Aunt Donna are such a great couple and gave me some amazing cousins. Wonderful family! I look forward to reuniting in heaven one day.

My thoughts and prayers are going to all of you! I will always remember Dave kidding around. He had such a wonderful sense of humor. He made every one around him comfortable and accepted where ever you were!

Aunt Donna , Sandy, Tammy and Jeff. So sorry about Uncle Dave. Wish I could be there . Happy I got a chance to see him during the walk. Truly a blessing. My best memory of my uncle is when he would take me to the store and buy me candy. He was always a generous and happy man. My thoughts and prayers will be with you. Love Connie
Mrs. Adams, Sandy and Family-I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Adam’s passing and his battle with Alzheimer’s. I will always remember when he coached us playing softball, and how much fun we had with Mr. Adams! Prayers and hugs on the way for all of you.
So sorry for your family’s loss. I always remember Uncle David as being a happy and funny guy, always joking around. He will be missed dearly. Wish we could be there. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
