David passed away peacefully at home on November 13th, 2025 at the age of 80.

He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on November 21st, 1944.

David is predeceased by his parents Victor and Eileen Gavel, his brother Lawrence, his sister Bethany, and his eldest son Steven Alan.

He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters Beverly Gavel and Meredith Laine, daughters Diana Christine, Sheri Lynn, Pamela Ellen and Karin Sue, as well as his sons James Bradley and David Michael. David is survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

David enjoyed a wide variety of professions including as a Law Enforcement Agent, and as a Master Electrician at Anheuser-Busch in St Louis, MO. While in Valdez, AK, he worked on the Trans-Alaska pipeline. He enjoying spending much of his time at his farm in Belle, MO; where he enjoyed many years of solitude and peace in nature.
