David Edward Rathert, 56, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2024 at de Greeff Hospice House.  Dave remains Husband of Meghan, Father of Nicholas, Son of Jean and Nick, Brother of Joe (Ashley), John (Liz), Vicki (Jim), and Tracey (Scott), Uncle of Several, and Friend of Countless Others.

Known for his kindness and warm smile, Dave loved grilling and smoking meats and salmon for his family; making sawdust in his workshop while crafting gorgeous furniture and treasured gifts; fishing and hunting, especially at the Family Farm; the game of baseball and coaching his son’s teams; being passionate about the environment, climate change, sustainability, and planting trees; guiding his work team toward strong customer service; and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals (Go You Redbirds!).

Dave’s Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at 2 pm at The Gathering-Clayton (101 N. Bemiston Avenue, 63105), with a reception onsite immediately following.

Donations in Dave’s honor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Building Futures Design & Build Workshops.
