David Earl Martin passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021. David was born on February 2, 1937 in Dubuque County, Iowa to Frank Martin and Muriel (Wolfe) Martin.

He married his beloved wife, Helen (Postel) Martin, in Monticello, IA on December 26, 1955. They were blessed with two children: Steven and Cindy.

Dave grew up and attended school in Monticello, Iowa. He then went on to service 3 years in the U.S. Army, and the next 32 years in the insurance business, then in property management in Florida. He retired to Anderson, SC and lived there for the last 15 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Muriel Martin.

Dave is survived by his loving wife, Helen Martin; his children: Steven (Jane Walk) Martin, and Cindy (Wendell) Waye; his grandchildren: Ryan Waye, Sarah Waye, David Martin, and Jonathan Martin; and siblings: Donald Martin (Dorothy), Robert Martin (Jane), and Mary Morley.

Services are scheduled at St. John’s Lutheran Church-Graveside, Monticello, IA on August 13, 2021 at 10:30am.
