Many nieces, nephews, grand nieces/nephews, cousins and countless friends

It was February 2015 when I got a call to do a road trip to Jupiter, Florida.  My travel companions were Paul Kemner and David Bahr.   It was the most fun I never had.  There were three of us… two hard-working Cardinal fans and me, a lackadaisical one.  This was David’s last Spring Run to Florida for baseball and I am proud to have been there to witness him immerse his 3-D passion for his team.  I have never seen him more fully engaged then when, after a long insufferable non-baseball winter, David emerged, like a March tornado in a trailer park, storming back into the Cardinal Nation that was a part of his DNA.
David’s others passions and qualities have been elucidated in other parts of his story. His family, his religion, his team, and his beloved pooch, Smudge, whom left David somewhat truncated following his passing.   David’s Christmas letter was anxiously awaited each year as he projected his puppy’s personality, (really, David’s) into a year-end summation of Smudge’s thoughts, hopes, dreams and desires.

In the way David reacted to you and everyone around him, you certainly could palpably feel God’s love reflected from him.   David was a sensitive person… open, emotional, and loving.  He did not hide it under a “bushel basket” as some men are inclined to do.  Instead, he placed his light on a table and let it generously shine through.
I think he has found Smudge by now and the rest of his family that passed before him.  That is what I imagine he is doing.  And David is appreciative beyond bounds for having all his family’s love and consideration for him reflected in how he is being remembered and how he will remain with us.   (Brother-in-law, Michael Graham)

David has been cremated and Sandi will continue to take him on adventures with her into the future.

    Sandi,
I’m so sorry to hear about David’s passing. I always enjoyed our telling each other stories/jokes/baseball and won’t forget the fun times we had on the Faith Lutheran softball and volleyball teams. As a Royals fan myself, there aren’t many Cardinals fans I like, but David was one at the top of my list! He’s home now just waiting for us to join him.
