Dawn (Tai) Alice Mayford, 55 Of Granite City IL passed away Wednesday May 25, 2022 at River Crossing of Alton in Alton, IL. 

Dawn was born January 14, 1967 to Daniel Comer and Joyce Alice (Moad) Comer. She Married Donald Mayford, on August 29, 1986 in Livingston Alabama. Dawn enjoyed fishing, and SYFY fantasy conventions, sewing and crocheting in her spare time. 

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Donald Mayford;  5 daughters- Raven Mayford, Emily Mayford of Collinsville IL, Danica Mayford, Kendra Mayford, and Josie Mayford all of Granite City, IL  and one granddaughter- Autumn Mank of Collinsville, IL; 4 brothers- Dan (Ruth) Comer of Granite City IL, Dean (Sarah) Comer of Jerseyville IL, Doug (Elisa) Comer and Darrel Comer of Granite City IL; one sister-in-law Diana (Ron) Sprowel of Tilden IL; Many Nieces and Nephews and many friends

She was preceded in death by her parents Daniel and Joyce (Moad) Comer and her mother-in- law Gwen (Loudon) Mayford.

There will be a celebration of life to be announced at a later date. In lieu of  flowers, the family asks for donations to the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Association in Dawn’s name.
