Delphine Williams
Delphine Gladden Williams born September 9, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the
daughter of Delphine and Dr. Jean Gladden. Delphine married Paul Williams in June of 1981
and they have three children.
Delphine spent her early childhood in Harrison, Arkansas before attending Villa Duschene as a
member of Villa’s last boarding class, then attended Spring Hill College. She taught for 39 years
at St. Joseph Academy as an art teacher, freshman coordinator, and mentor to so many
students. Delphine was active in the St. Louis Junior League, Artist Guild, Little Flower Church,
and a docent for Campbell House Museum. She lived a full and colorful life and passed away
on July 18th, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her family and close friends, after a well
fought battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), a very rare disease.
Delphine’s mother preceded her in death by only a few weeks, passing away on July 1, 2022.
She was also preceded in death by her father and brothers King and Peter Gladden, her
grandmother and step grandfather Delphine and Jim Wesseling. She is survived by her
husband Paul and their three children Peter (Sarah) Williams, Kate (Jack) Horan, and Claire
(Leslie) Froschauer. She was DeeDee to three grandchildren Joseph and Rachel Williams, and
Delphine Rose Horan. Delphine has two remaining siblings Jane Gladden Corrigan and Anne
(Rick) Milburn.

and celebration of life will be decided at a later date.

Just found out about Delphine passing. I had heard that she had been sick but never heard that it was this severe. My condolences to you and your children.
