Dennis Alber
Dennis Lee (Denny) Alber, age 73, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025 in St. Louis, Missouri, the city where he was born and lived much of his life. Born on June 8, 1951, Denny shared warmth, laughter, and a quick wit with all who were lucky enough to know him.
Denny honorably served in the Missouri National Guard, exemplifying his commitment and dedication to his country. His service is one example of the many ways Denny showed strength and loyalty throughout his life. A lifelong fan of the St. Louis Blues, Denny’s passion for the team was well known amongst his family and friends. Whether cheering from the stands, or from his favorite chair at home, he never missed a chance to support his favorite team. He also found joy in simpler pleasures like taking his golf cart for a drive around the lake and playing pool with friends. Denny’s personality blended a warm, loving spirit, with a witty sarcastic humor, that endeared him to many. His presence filled gatherings big or small, with laughter and joy.
Denny’s family was the heart of his life. He is lovingly remembered by his son, Chris, and daughter-in-law, Ginger; daughter Lisa; his grandchildren Evan, Colin, Macy, and Lea; his brother Rick and sister-in-law Judy; sisters-in-law June (Larry) and Teresa (Ken); mother-in-love Patricia (Lloyd); brother-in-law Alan(Verlin), and longtime companion, Connie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, all who will miss him dearly. Preceded in death by his wife Karen, parents Earl and Dolores Alber; father-in-law Lloyd, brothers Larry and Ken; each of whom held a special place in his heart.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor Denny. May memories of him bring comfort and continue to bring smiles and laughter as stories are shared among all that will forever love him.
I am so sorry for your loss. Praying for you and your family. I loved your Dad he always told me i was a good friend to you.
Deepest condolences Chris, Ginger and family. He raised a fine young man.
Denny was a dear friend. He always wanted to know “if he was part of our family.” The answer is yes! We built our house down the road, while Denny and Karen built theirs. Our families spent most of our time together. My children loved Denny. We got to see Evan grow up.
He loved Super Bowl parties, and the Blues. His basement always reflected his collections.
Later in life we got to know Connie. Denny was blessed to have two women who loved him so much.
Denny will be missed. Until we meet again, fly high. Love you ♥️
Denny and Karen was one of the original neighbors who we got to know during their time in Warrenton. He was always so happy and positive and a great caring neighbor. We had many fun filled evening events out here in the “Woods”. After Karen’s death and him leaving the neighborhood we still kept in contact and had the pleasure of meeting Connie. Denny will be remembered for his big smiles, his willing to find the “good times” and his caring nature. May he rest in peace.
God bless all of you at this difficult time. We have many fun memories with Denny and his family out here in Warrenton Woods. We all grew to know and care for each other out here in Warrenton Woods. I miss those days when we were all starting our lives in the country together. See you and Karen on the other side Denny❤️🙏
