In Loving Memory of Dennis E Meredith

Dennis Edward Meredith of Springfield, Missouri, age 87, departed this life in the early morning hours of January 29, 2026.

Family

Dennis is survived by his beloved wife, Cathy Smith Meredith, his daughter Karen Corson, his son Patrick Meredith and a very large extended family of grandchildren and great grandchildren.   His devotion to his family was unwavering, and he especially cherished the moments spent with his loved ones and the joy of being surrounded by both close and extended relatives.

Passions and Legacy

Dennis’s early life was spent serving our country in the United States Marine Corps and was very proud of his service.   

Dennis found joy in the simple things in life. He enjoyed fishing, tending to his garden and yard, and gathering for family cookouts. Above all, his greatest happiness came from being with his family.

Throughout his life, Dennis was a loving and giving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His home and heart were always open, offering generosity and kindness to everyone in his life. He continuously wished the very best for those he cared about and touched the lives of many with his selflessness.  

A family memorial service will be held to honor his memory. 

Dennis will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. His warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion have left a lasting impression on his family and friends. The memories he created and the love he shared will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched. He will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
