Dennis N. Rankin

Dennis N. Rankin was born to Barbara Rankin and Martin Harrold in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, on April 7, 1959.

Dennis was what you would call a Jack of All Trades when he was young.  He could make Go Karts out of wood that he would find in the alley and he could make a better bike with using old parts.  Some people would call him “Fred Sanford” because he never trashed anything and he was good at working on cars and trucks.

Dennis was a big Elvis Presley fan but when he went to Memphis, he did not want to spend money on the tour so the family just drove by the mansion.

He served 8 years in the service, but did not realize what he had signed up for but this gave him a chance to see places he would have never seen, like Japan, Alaska, California and many other places.

Dennis worked in many fields such as hotels, auto shops detailing cars, recycling plants and junkyards.

Dennnis had a passion for women.  He was the father of Denise, Danielle, Veronica, Jasmine, Nicole, Michael, Robert, and twin boys who passed at an early age, and he also has two grandchildren.

He would have his sister keep in touch with his children and she would let him know how they were doing and this made him sad because he was not there for them but he did love them very much.

Dennis and his sister Trudy went to California to see the ocean originally but instead, Dennis decided to meet up with his son Robert.  His daughter Jasmine made a surprise visit to see him which made him so happy and he also got to meet his nieces and nephews from the Harrolds side of the family and they all had a great time.

He leaves behind his children, 2 sisters, Debra and Peggy, 1 brother, Milton; two aunts, Elnora and Helen; 1 uncle, Joe, and his nieces and nephews Deanna, Lee, Danny, Richard, Cristianna, Khadijah, Miracle, Richard Jr., and the Harrolds.

Dennis joins in heaven, his parents Barbara and Martin, grandmother Flora, uncle Milton, sister Trudy, brothers Terry and William, niece Lesley, daughter Danielle, and the love of his life Velma.

Dennis will be missed by all family members and friends.
