Dennis Wayne Scurlock, Jr. was born September 20, 1975 to Peggyann B. Cortner and Dennis Wayne Scurlock, Sr passed away October 29th, 2014 in St. Louis, MO.
Dennis is preceded in death by grandparents Norman A. and Virginia (nee Meyer) Cortner and Charles W. and Annabelle (nee Hoit) Scurlock and uncle Gary Delaney.
Jr. was an employee of Proctor and Gamble.
Dennis Wayne Scurlock, Jr. is survived by his loving mother Peggy B. Cortner and her partner Catherine Shampine, father Dennis Wayne Scurlock, Sr.: sister Alex Scurlock; aunts Darlene E. Ledbetter, Carol (Philip) Kunz, Kathy K. Cortner and Carolyn (Delaney) Craft; uncle Arthur W. Cortner; and many cousins, other relatives, co workers and friends.
He will forever be in our hearts and will be truly missed!

I miss you, big brother.. I miss you pinching my cheeks and hearing you say, “Hey Rugrat.” I’d give anything to hear that again. It hurts knowing you never got the chance to meet your niece, to see the person she’s becoming, or to know the little pieces of her that I know you would’ve loved. Sometimes I catch a glimpse of you in the most unexpected places… even in my dogs. I’ll take those little reminders every time I can get them. I pick at the scars because I’m scared that I’ll forget..
